Anansi and the Wisdom Pot

Once upon a time, in a beautiful West African village, there lived a very clever spider named Anansi. Anansi was known throughout the village as the smartest creature around. When people had problems, they came to Anansi for help. When children had questions, Anansi always knew the answers. He could solve puzzles that made others scratch their heads, and he could tell stories that made everyone laugh and learn. Anansi felt very proud of how clever he was. He would sit in the center of the village, spinning his web in the most beautiful patterns, while people gathered around to hear his wise words. His eight legs moved gracefully as he gestured, and his bright eyes sparkled with intelligence. All the villagers would nod and say, "Anansi is surely the cleverest of us all!" And Anansi smiled, feeling very pleased with himself indeed.
