Anne of Green Gables — scene 1

Once upon a time, on a beautiful island called Prince Edward Island, a little girl with bright red hair sat waiting at a train station. Her name was Anne Shirley, and she had the most wonderful imagination you could ever imagine. Anne sat on a wooden bench with her small bundle of belongings beside her, looking around with wide, hopeful eyes. She had been waiting for someone to come and take her to her new home. Anne had lived in many places before, but she had never had a real family of her own. As she waited, she watched the seagulls flying overhead and listened to the gentle sound of waves in the distance. 'I wonder what my new home will be like,' she whispered to herself, her green eyes sparkling with dreams. 'I hope it will be beautiful, with flowers and trees and maybe even a garden where I can pick berries.' Anne's heart was full of hope as she waited, not knowing that her life was about to change in the most wonderful way.
