Five Children and the Magical Psammead — scene 1

Once upon a time, there were three children named Cyril, Anthea, and Robert. They were moving to a beautiful house in the countryside with their parents. Cyril was the oldest and always looked after his younger brother and sister. Anthea was thoughtful and careful about everything. Robert was full of energy and loved adventures. As their carriage rolled up the winding path to their new home, the children pressed their faces against the windows. The house was old and wonderful, with ivy growing up the walls and a garden full of flowers. "Look at all that space to explore!" said Robert, bouncing in his seat. Anthea smiled gently. "I hope we will be happy here," she said. Cyril nodded confidently. "We will be. This feels like the beginning of something magical." And indeed, it was.
