Kame the Tortoise and the Sky Feast

Once upon a time, in a beautiful village in West Africa, there lived a tortoise named Kame. Kame had the most wonderful shell you have ever seen - it was covered with patterns that told stories of his ancestors. The patterns were brown like rich earth, gold like sunshine, and green like the forest leaves. Kame was very, very clever. He could solve puzzles that made other animals scratch their heads. He could find his way through the thickest jungle. He could even count higher than anyone else in the village! All the animals knew that Kame was the smartest creature around. But sometimes, being very clever can make you feel very proud. And that is where our story begins.
