Pollyanna and the Glad Game

Once upon a time, there lived a little girl named Pollyanna. She had golden hair that shone like sunshine and a smile that could brighten any room. But one sad day, Pollyanna lost her mama and papa. She felt very lonely, but even then, she tried to find something to be glad about. A kind lady told her, You must go live with your Aunt Polly in the town of Beldingsville. Pollyanna packed her few belongings in a small bag. As she looked out the window at the green hills, she whispered, I am glad I have somewhere to go. I am glad Aunt Polly wants me. Even though her heart felt heavy, Pollyanna held onto hope like a warm blanket on a cold night.
