The Boy Who Cried Wolf
Ages 4–5 9 min
Once upon a time, there was a young shepherd boy who lived in a village near rolling green hills. Every morning, he would take his fluffy white sheep up to the grassy hillside to eat and play. The boy had curly brown hair and bright eyes, and he carried a wooden staff to help guide his sheep. Up on the hill, it was very quiet. The boy could see the whole village below, with its little houses and busy people. The sheep would munch on the sweet grass, making soft bleating sounds. But sometimes, the boy felt very lonely up there all by himself. He wished he had someone to talk to and play with. The wind would whisper through the grass, and the boy would watch the clouds drift by in the blue sky. It was peaceful, but oh so quiet.
