The Dancing Stars — scene 1

Once upon a time, long, long ago, the night sky over Australia was very different from the sky we see today. The stars were scattered everywhere, floating alone in the darkness like tiny lights that had lost their way. Each star shone by itself, far apart from all the others. The Night Sky stretched wide and endless, dark as velvet, watching over the lonely stars. There were no patterns, no pictures, no stories written in the heavens. Just scattered points of light, each one glowing softly but sadly in the vast emptiness. The stars did not know they could be more than just lonely lights. They did not know they could create something beautiful together.
