The Emperor's New Clothes

Once upon a time, in a beautiful kingdom far away, there lived an Emperor who loved clothes more than anything else in the whole world. Every morning, he would wake up and think about what wonderful outfit he could wear that day. His palace had rooms and rooms full of the most beautiful clothes you could imagine - silky robes in every color of the rainbow, shiny boots that sparkled like stars, and hats with feathers that danced in the breeze. The Emperor would spend hours looking at himself in his golden mirrors, turning this way and that way, admiring how handsome he looked. He had so many clothes that he needed three big closets just to hold them all! While other kings might think about helping their people or making their kingdom a better place, this Emperor only thought about looking fancy and important. He believed that the most beautiful clothes would make everyone think he was the most wonderful ruler in the world.
