The Emperor's New Clothes
Once upon a time, in a beautiful kingdom far away, there lived an Emperor who loved clothes more than anything else in the whole world. Every morning, he would wake up and look at himself in his big golden mirrors. He had closets full of the most colorful robes, the shiniest crowns, and the softest slippers. The Emperor would spend hours choosing what to wear, turning this way and that way, admiring how handsome he looked. He loved his purple robes with golden buttons, his red cape with silver trim, and his blue jacket with sparkly jewels. But no matter how many beautiful clothes he had, the Emperor always wanted more. He wanted to be the most fashionable ruler in all the land. While other kings worried about their people or their kingdoms, this Emperor only cared about looking perfect. He would change his clothes many times each day, always asking his mirror, 'Don't I look wonderful?' And the mirror seemed to sparkle back, as if it agreed.
