The Fisherman and the Jinni
Ages 4–5 9 min
Once upon a time, by the sparkling blue sea, there lived a kind fisherman. Every morning when the sun painted the sky pink and gold, he would walk down to the sandy shore. The fisherman had weathered hands and gentle eyes that crinkled when he smiled. He was not rich, but he worked very hard every day. He would cast his fishing net into the waves, watching it spread like a beautiful fan before it sank into the water. The seagulls called overhead, and the waves whispered secrets to the shore. The fisherman loved his work, even though it was not easy. He believed that if he worked hard and stayed hopeful, good things would come. As he threw his net again and again, he hummed a little tune his grandmother had taught him long ago.
