The Golden Thread — scene 1

Once upon a time, in a beautiful Persian city filled with colorful markets and singing fountains, there lived a weaver named Zahra. She worked alone in her quiet workshop, surrounded by the most magnificent tapestries you could ever imagine. Her fingers moved like dancing butterflies across the loom, creating patterns of flowers and birds and swirling clouds. The silk threads shimmered in the lamplight - deep blues like the night sky, warm reds like sunset, and soft greens like spring leaves. But even though her tapestries were beautiful beyond words, Zahra felt a sadness in her heart. The workshop was so very quiet, with only the gentle sound of her weaving to keep her company. She would work from sunrise to sunset, creating beauty for others, but she had no one to share her joy with. Sometimes she would pause and listen, hoping to hear footsteps or voices, but there was only silence.
