The Grateful Mountain — scene 1

One day, as the shepherd was walking with his flock, he heard a tiny, sad sound. Tweet, tweet, tweet - but it wasn't a happy bird song. It sounded hurt and scared. The shepherd stopped and listened carefully. There, behind a big rock, he found a beautiful mountain bird with bright feathers. But oh no! The little bird's wing was hurt, and it couldn't fly. The bird looked up at the shepherd with frightened eyes. The shepherd's heart filled with worry for the little creature. He knelt down very gently and spoke in a soft, kind voice. 'Don't be afraid, little friend,' he whispered. 'I will help you.' The bird seemed to understand that this kind man wanted to help.
