The Kind Miller — scene 1

Once upon a time, in a beautiful German village, there lived a kind miller who worked very hard every day. His name was Miller, and he had the most wonderful water mill you have ever seen. The big wooden wheel turned round and round in the flowing stream, making a gentle whooshing sound. Miller would wake up early each morning when the sun painted the sky pink and orange. He would put on his flour-dusted apron and walk to his mill with a happy heart. All day long, he would grind grain into soft, white flour. The mill wheel would turn, and the stones would grind, and Miller would work with careful hands. He loved making good flour because he knew it would become warm, delicious bread for all the families in his village.
