The Magic Seeds — scene 1

Once upon a time, in a beautiful Mayan village surrounded by green fields, there lived a kind farmer. His name was Poor Farmer, and he had the most caring heart you could imagine. But Poor Farmer was very sad because his crops would not grow. Day after day, he would walk through his fields and see only brown, withered plants. The corn was dry, the beans were tiny, and the squash had shriveled up. Poor Farmer knelt down in the dusty soil and touched the sad little plants with his gentle hands. A tear rolled down his cheek as he whispered, 'I just want to grow food to share with my neighbors.' The sun was setting, painting the sky orange and pink, but Poor Farmer felt only worry in his heart. He did not know that something magical was about to happen.
