The Midnight Sun
Ages 6–7 Adventure 5 min
Once upon a time, in the far north of Norway, there lived a little child in a land where winter brought the longest, darkest nights you could ever imagine. For months and months, the sun would hide away, leaving the Arctic world wrapped in a blanket of deep, quiet darkness. The little child would wake up in darkness, play in darkness, and go to sleep in darkness. The snow sparkled like tiny diamonds under the moonlight, but oh, how the child missed the warm, golden sunshine! Every day felt like a long, sleepy dream where the sun had forgotten to come home. The child would press their nose against the frosty window and wonder if the sun would ever return to paint the sky with its beautiful light.
