The Steadfast Tin Soldier — scene 1

Once upon a time, in a cozy Danish toy shop, something magical was happening. The toymaker was making twenty-five tin soldiers from a single old spoon. He melted the spoon down and carefully poured the shiny tin into tiny soldier molds. One by one, the soldiers took shape - each one exactly the same, with bright red uniforms, tall black hats, and little tin rifles. They stood in perfect rows, looking brave and proud. The toymaker painted their faces with care, giving each soldier kind brown eyes and rosy cheeks. When he finished, all twenty-five soldiers looked exactly alike, standing at attention like real soldiers ready to march. The shop smelled like metal and paint, and sunlight streamed through the windows, making the tin soldiers sparkle like stars.
